Energy Efficiency

Save money, energy and the environment

PVC-U - the sustainable choice

Good for your pocket - and the planet

Conserving energy in our homes essentially to help reduce energy bills and protect the environment by cutting carbon dioxide emissions. The fact that our homes and buildings are responsible for almost half of the UK's carbon dioxide emissions means that improving energy efficiency in all dwellings is a top priority for the Government and homeowners alike.

Comfortable homes with lower running costs.

Windows have a vital role to play in conserving energy in buildings, since 20% of the heat escaping from an average home is lost through its windows*. Choosing the right combination of glazing and window frames is essential to improve the energy efficiency of your home, reduce your energy costs and, crucially, create a comfortable living environment for you and your family - all year round.

Built-in thermal efficiency

Our windows frames feature an advanced multi-chambered cross-section which helps to prevent heat loss and enhance thermal efficiency. This means we can create windows that meet the highest efficiency ratings.

Windows that make the grade

The British Fenestration Ratings Council Ltd (BFRC) is an independent organisation dedicated to improving the efficiency of fenestration products.

BFRC Energy Ratings are a simple, clear and easily understood method of informing customers of the relative energy efficiency of a particular window.

The windows are rated on an 'A' to 'G' scale, which is consistent with other products such as lightbulbs and white goods. An 'A' rating signifies the most energy-efficient products, a 'G' the least efficient. In October 2010, the new regulations are that Windows and Doors must reach a minimum rating of 'C' or above.
Conservatories, however, are totally exempt from this new regulation, but our conservatories achieve a standard 'C' rating to maintain a usable all-year room. Both our windows and conservatories are designed to achieve any rating from 'C' up to 'A', according to your needs and budget.

Recycled materials

Our windows represent a genuine sustainable options. Not only because they help reduce CO2 emmissions, but also because PVC-U is a fully recyclable material. Each year, tens of thousands of tonnes of PVC-U are recycled, minimising impact on landfill waste sites.
